A couture highlight of the week, there was much anticipation for the Bowie show to end Day 2 at MBFWA 2012. A thunderstorm opened the runway followed by chorus of birds – beauty after the storm. Models proceeded in gowns of gold and white with the most intricate detail seen in a collection all week. Subtle marbling in fabrics, intricate beading details as well as a fantastic use of layering. Expect a return to the fishtail, Bowie presented the modern equivalent.

Key pieces include the gold fishtail as well as the white gown with subtle marble textures. Expect to see more of these details in coming months as there is to be no doubt, these elements have been resurrected.

A dramatic show and collection with the variation you would expect from a couture range. Without a doubt, a real highlight of the MBFWA 2012 series. We cannot wait to see more of Bowie!
