Dumpling lovers are being encouraged to get experimental and come up with their own weird and wonderful dumpling flavour ideas The restaurant known for their offering of Shanghai-style cuisine inspired by ancient family recipes, is giving customers the chance to have all of their dumpling dreams come true. That’s right, New Shanghai is launching a ‘Dumpling Masters’ competition and giving customers the chance to have their very own dumpling flavour brought to life by the New Shanghai team and showcased on their menu for an entire month! As well as their own menu feature, the winning entrant will also receive a year’s supply of free dumplings! We told you this was the stuff dumpling dreams were made of!

Customers are able to submit their unique and creative dumpling flavour idea online, with a top eight to then be shortlisted and available for purchase in select New Shanghai restaurants. Customers all over the nation will then have the opportunity to purchase and taste the top eight ‘Dumpling Masters’ flavours, with the most popular dumpling to be crowned the ultimate ‘Dumpling Master’.

The sky’s the limit with a loot of kooky and creative filling ideas to choose from – think flavours like Neapolitan Ice Cream, Nachos, or even a Pad Thai infused dumpling.
Submissions are open for a month and the top eight flavours will then be chosen by New Shanghai’s panel of experts and made available for customers to purchase and sample in selected stores before casting their vote for the best newly created flavour. With free dumplings on offer, and the honour of having your creation listed on the New Shanghai menu and becoming the ultimate ‘Dumpling Master’, you’d want to get those creative dumpling ideas flowing!
