When it comes to self-tanning, I have tested my fair share of the products out on the shelves. From products promising results such as “instantly bronzed skin” and “flawless coverage”, only for me to end up looking I was a shade of orange with blotchy elbows and knees, I’ve experienced it all!
So when I came across Sally Hansen’s Airbrush Legs ($24.95) it was like a breath of fresh air. No longer did I look like a cast member of Jersey Shore; instead I had a flawless, natural glow that could be applied in the convenience of my own bathroom.
Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is enriched with vitamin K, as well as Palmaria extracts to help stimulate moisture for soft, silky legs. The lightweight tan aids in enhancing the coverage of freckles, veins and imperfections to give you the appearance of perfect pins. Another benefit of Airbrush Legs is that it helps stimulate microcirculation for healthier and firmer looking legs.
The product is also great for when you get invited to those last minute parties and are looking a little pasty, as it is instant and dries and sets within 60 seconds. Although it is called Airbrush Legs, I also use the product on my arms to get that all-natural glow with the same results.
It is available in four different shades, Light Glow, Medium Glow, Tan Glow and Deep Glow, suitable for all skin types and shades. It is also buildable, so if you find one coat is not enough, simply spray over your body again until you reach your preferred tone.
Before using Airbrush Legs, thoroughly exfoliate your body in order to shed the dead skin to ensure your tan lasts longer and can be applied evenly. Any waxing or shaving should be done the day before and additional moisturizers, lotions and perfumes applied very carefully. It is a water-resistant formula so will last for a minimum of three days and can be easily washed off using a loofah or a tan removal glove.
