Melburnians are set for a taste of five-star travel without boarding a plane as Cathay Pacific brings its next-generation cabins to Chadstone Shopping Centre from today Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 August. To celebrate the debut of the new Aria Suite Business class, all-new Premium Economy, and refreshed Economy cabins on selected Melbourne–Hong Kong flights from 3 August, the airline is hosting an immersive showcase where the public can try the seats for themselves. Visitors will receive a personalised boarding pass before stepping into a full-scale mock-up of the new Business and Premium Economy seats, with Cathay Pacific cabin crew on hand to guide the experience.
The showcase invites guests to sink into the plush seats, explore innovative features and chat to the airline’s team about the onboard experience – all while snapping a photo for keeps. Each boarding pass doubles as a ticket into a major prize draw to win two return Business class tickets to Hong Kong, plus the chance to score instant prizes like Cathay Pacific luggage tags and tote bags. The activation takes place on the lower ground floor (near Target) at Chadstone, open from 9am–9pm daily during the event.
The Aria Suite Business class offers unrivalled comfort, style and functionality, with a spacious cabin layout, intuitive seat design and refined finishes. Meanwhile, the reimagined Premium Economy cabin has been designed with extra personal space and privacy in mind, featuring leather headrests, custom seat cushions and privacy wings with integrated reading lights. These upgraded cabins will feature on Cathay Pacific’s retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, flying daily between Melbourne and Hong Kong on flights CX104 and CX105 from 3 August as part of the airline’s 2025 northern summer schedule.
Cathay Pacific, the home airline of Hong Kong, has been connecting travellers for over seven decades and is a founding member of the oneworld global alliance. Part of the Swire Group and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Cathay Group also includes Cathay Cargo, low-cost carrier HK Express and all-cargo airline Air Hong Kong, serving customers and cargo across the globe.
