Across from Southern Cross Station, the Spencer Outlet Centre boasts some of the CBD’s best shopping on a budget, and this past Thursday celebrated their relaunch under new management, and new additions Trade Secret, Harris scarfe, and the Cotton On Mega joining the expansive range of retailers in the centre. Officially launched with an exciting event, an official ribbon cutting and a colourful model moment featuring the latest trends from the major retailers and a champagne toast.

The ‘mini majors’ are brand new to the CBD, and offer amazing fashion for a very small price tag. Trade Secret are set apart from similar stores by their pricing. By dealing directly with the designers and brands they stock, including Versace Collection, BCBG Generation, Michael Kors, and Calvin Klein, they’re able to provide their stock 60% off other stores prices.

Harris Scarfe, an iconic fixture in the Australian retail market marks its first presence in Melbourne within the centre. Stocking everything from clothing through to homewares, the highlight is Vera Wang’s capsule collection, Simply Vera, designed specifically for the store and reaching from women’s fashion to bed linen.

The Cotton On Mega store is sure to be a shopping attraction in the centre, and will stock the original Cotton On brand, as well as Cotton On Body, Cotton On Kids and Rubi Shoes, and the day’s resident DJ, Didier Cohen’s capsule collection.

Joining Didier was the beautiful Rachael Finch, who served as host for the event. “It has absolutely enriched the shopping experience [of the centre] she said of the new mini major additions, as she introduced a showing of clothing from the opening stores, with trends like denim and chambray, vintage wash, and pops of colour being the main trends shown.

Retpro Group’s Managing director Graham Terry also spoke, letting the crowd know that he was “absolutely thrilled to unveil [the new precinct]”, happy to open the stores after several months of reinvigoration to the crowd.

If you weren’t there today, don’t worry! There’s a weeklong celebration in the Centre including entertainment and activities, and of course, great retail discount offers. You’ll find Trade Secret, Harris Scarfe, and Cotton On Mega on level 1, 201 Spencer Street, Melbourne in the new Spencer Outlet Centre.
