The holidays are here, which means plenty of opportunities to generate envy inducing Instagram content. We take some cues from some of the world’s most popular travel grammers and bring you the top tips for ensuring your Instagram game is strong this holiday season.

1. Take a token passport shot

Nothing makes people jealous like a passport shot right as you are leaving the country, obviously off to somewhere fabulous!

72. Create your own hashtag

Take a cue from fashion blogger superstar Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad fame and create your own hashtag. Ferragni uses #theblondesaladneverstops to keep track of her adventures. The great thing about having your own hashtag is it not only helps your followers keep track of what you are up to, but it makes it easy for you to track and re-live your holiday memories.
13. Master the cocktail over the pool shot

This shot is Instagram gold. It never fails to get lots of likes.

24. Take a sunset shot

Sunsets offer epic photo opps. The more colourful the better.

5. Instagram your food

Food photos always do well on Instagram, so visiting a whole new place opens up lots of opportunities to get some great #foodstagram opportunities.

6. Develop a signature pose

Pick a pose which is not only flattering, but great to do at any beautiful tourist destination around the world. The arms in the air with your back to the camera (as mastered by bloggers such as Tuula Vintage) is a great one to start with.
