Recently, I was chatting with a few girlfriends and we got onto the topic of facials. To my surprise (read: slight horror), none of them had actually had one before! This inspired me to write a small piece about why facials are great for your skin and why they are worthwhile to include as part of your beauty regime. You can read it here.
I’m not sure when I started having facials, but I think it has been about ten years now since my virgin facial experience. I remember being very apprehensive about getting my first facial, but after the first sounds of the rainforest, followed by the sweet sounds of ocean waves, I was transfixed by the serenity and feeling of relaxation that came, even before anything was applied to may face. I have one every 4-6 weeks and try to maintain a good skin care regime in between. I find that when I come out of a facial, my skin feels hydrated and it glows! I honestly think it’s the best thing I ever did for my face all those years ago.
