Melbourne’s most indulgent celebration of flavour is back, with the much loved Wine & Cheese Fest returning to The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne on Saturday 14 March 2026.
Now in its 13th edition, the festival invites food and wine lovers to taste, sip and shop their way through a full day of deliciousness, featuring unlimited tastings, free masterclasses, live entertainment and the chance to meet the passionate producers behind some of Australia’s best wine, cheese and artisan goods.
This year’s line up includes over 50 exhibitors from Victoria and beyond, with crowd favourites such as Boatshed Cheese, The Cheese Rebels Australia, That’s Amore Cheese, Newbridge Wines, Santolin Wines and Mr Velvet Ears Wine Company pouring and plating up their finest. Inside the Timber Yard, guests can explore the main exhibitor hall, while outside the festival spills into sun soaked seating areas, food stalls and a long bar perfect for relaxing between tastings.
Alongside the endless grazing, the festival offers plenty of interactive experiences, including free masterclasses covering wine making, cheese making and wine and cheese pairing. One of the most anticipated moments of the day is the Grape Stomp Competition, running between 3pm and 4pm and hosted by MC Ben Sorenson, delivering plenty of laughs for participants and spectators alike. Live music, DJs and roving performers keep the atmosphere buzzing from start to finish, making it an easy event to settle into for hours.
There are two sessions available: 12pm to 3.30pm and 4pm to 7.30pm, with tickets starting at $59 plus booking fee for General Admission, which includes free tastings, masterclasses, a wine glass, tote bag and live music. Guests can upgrade to Total Wine Indulgence or VIP experiences for added perks, including wine inclusions and exclusive masterclasses. Children under 18 attend free with a legal guardian.
