UNIQLO is ushering in a fresh chapter of LifeWear in Australia with the grand reopening of its flagship Emporium Melbourne store, unveiling a revitalised retail space designed to elevate the customer experience. Marking more than a decade since the brand first arrived in the country, the transformed store brings world-class design, interactive moments, and a renewed celebration of local creatives and culture.
To mark the occasion, UNIQLO Australia is launching its new People Campaign, spotlighting a lineup of Melbourne talents who embody the spirit of LifeWear. The ambassadors include broadcaster and sports journalist Clint Stanaway, celebrated for his warmth on Nova’s top-rated breakfast show; globally renowned watercolour artist Hieu Nguyen (Kelogsloops); alt-pop singer-songwriter Phoebe Go, beloved for her atmospheric solo work; and Olympic gold medallist rower Lucy Stephan. Each ambassador brings a distinctly Melbourne perspective, reinforcing UNIQLO’s commitment to individuality, creativity, and community.
Shoppers can also explore the introduction of UTme!, UNIQLO’s interactive customisation experience that lets customers design personalised tees and totes in store. To celebrate the launch, visitors can choose from pre-printed UTme! designs created by Melbourne collaborators Beci Orpin, Hector’s Deli, and DOCG, or craft their own wearable artwork using images, text, and exclusive IP stamps. From Orpin’s signature optimism and colour to Hector’s Deli’s cult-favourite charm and DOCG’s bold, cartoon-inspired motifs, the collection brings a distinctly local flavour to the Emporium floor.
UNIQLO Emporium will officially reopen at 10:00am on Thursday, 27 November 2025, marked by a Japanese ribbon-cutting ceremony and traditional taiko drumming. Shoppers who spend $100 or more will receive a free UNIQLO gift bag, alongside a range of exclusive opening offers. The new store is located at Emporium Melbourne, 287 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
