Over the past few months I have been testing out the Clarisonic MIA2, the revolutionary sonic cleanser brush that cleanses your face as it spins at sonic frequency of 300 micro-movements per second. I wanted to really test out the effects of the brush on my skin over a period of time to see if it made a difference to my skin, and whether it cleanses in a way that traditional methods cannot achieve.

Admittedly when I first used it, the sonic cleansing head which gave off a gentle vibration, felt odd against the skin. But after a few uses, it was something that I became used to. I had feared that the brush would over exfoliate my skin, but I was delighted that the brush was gentle, leaving my skin soft and supple.

I started using it once a day with the cleanser that came with the MIA2; however as a creature of habit, I reverted to my Philosophy Purity cleanser. As I used it over the course of the first week, my skin felt a lot softer and it looked and felt cleaner. The longer I used it, pores were less noticeable and I noticed a gentle glow to my skin.  I now use it religiously with my cleanser to help keep my skin clean, soft and fresh.

I would have to recommend this as a ‘must-have’ in any girl’s skincare kit as I think it’s an amazing tool. I have now been using it since November and given the significant period of trialling it, it is something that I definitely will continue to have as part of my skin care regime. I will say that it may be a bit more than what you’d normally spend on one item in your makeup and skincare kit but it is a worthwhile investment. After all, your skin is worth investing in!

Clarisonic MIA2 retails for $190 and is available from all leading department stores and online at www.clarisonic.com.au
