Searching for the WOW factor your beauty look is lacking? Better than a lipgloss and more than just a lipstick: say hello to L’Oreal Shine Caresse. The new hybrid lip product combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long staying power of a lipstick stain.

Shine Caresse is formulated using 30% water and 60% oil to deliver a product that keeps your lips highly moisturised. While some lipsticks can leave your lips incredibly dry and flaky, these lip products ensure your lips stay hydrated.

Shine Caresse glides onto lips easily with a weightless feeling. The applicator brush is shaped like a teardrop that enables the product to clump in the centre of the brush and ensure an even application. While some glosses can give that “icky” thick slickness, this product provides shine without that dreaded sticky texture typical of some lip glosses. Another great bonus of Shine Caresse is the ability to build up the colour pigmentation. A single layer of the lip colour will give you a light stain whilst a heavier application will produce a concentrated splash of colour with a subtle ‘wet’ glossy appearance.

L’Oreal Paris ambassador, Barbara Palvin, is the face of Shine Caresse. The model describes the lip products as “fresh, light and sensual” with her favourite shade being a plush red. There are currently eight shades available in the Australian Shine Caresse line. Princess, Marilyn and Eve are the top colours that Couturing recommends.

Princess is a gorgeous orange-red shade perfect for a sultry nighttime look or a bold daytime splash of colour.

Marilyn is a candy popping pink colour that is ideal for injecting fun into your makeup look!

Eve is the signature shade of the line. The pastel lilac pink is perfect as an everyday lip colour and can be built upon for a brighter, bolder nighttime look.

The sleek gold packaging gives the products a luxurious touch, making them similar to the YSL Glossy Stains but at a more affordable price. Shine Caresse takes the best parts of lipsticks and glosses, mixing them together to create a fabulous lip product. After one swipe of Caresse you’ll be left with the dilemma of choosing your favourite shade!
