Australian skincare brand Ella Baché is ushering in a new season of skin resilience with the launch of its reformulated Intensive Recovery Cream this March. Designed to support compromised complexions, the updated formula focuses on repairing, calming and restoring the skin barrier—just in time for the shift from summer heat to cooler, drier conditions. Powered by advanced barrier-supporting actives, the cream delivers a comforting, rich texture that melts effortlessly into skin while reducing moisture loss and soothing irritation.

Blending performance botanicals with plant-based oils and lanolin, the Intensive Recovery Cream is formulated to deeply nourish and protect. Key ingredients including fish oil—rich in vitamins A and D—work to rebalance and reinforce the skin barrier, while thyme, safflower and almond oils replenish depleted lipids and ceramides. The addition of lanolin creates an emollient shield against harsh environmental stressors, helping skin retain hydration and rebuild strength. According to National Training Manager Gina Cook, the formula acts as the “ultimate restorative layer,” ideal for both daily use and as an intensive overnight treatment.
The product’s origins trace back to an intriguing discovery by Madame Baché, who was inspired by Icelandic fishermen whose hands remained soft despite freezing conditions—thanks to the vitamin-rich halibut they handled. Today, that legacy lives on in this modern formulation, tailored for dry, dehydrated or sensitised skin. The Ella Baché Intensive Recovery Cream 50mL retails for $87 and will be available from 23 March via Ella Baché salons, ellabache.com.au, and leading retailers including David Jones, Adore Beauty, Active Skin and THE ICONIC.
