Melbourne’s fashion loving A-List gather in Myer’s Mural Hall last night for their Autumn/Winter runway. Greeting everyone at the door was Myer CEO Bernie Brookes, which added a nice personal touch to the occasion.
The catwalk was lined with giant black and white images from Myer’s latest campaign, providing the perfect backdrop for the evening’s runway.
There was no-one more perfect to open the show than Melbourne based designer Toni Maticevski. The leggy Alexandra Agoston was the first model out in Maticevski’s jaw-dropping Capture beaded evening gown in white, followed by models decked out in leather bustiers, beautiful luxe suits, tailored shirts and edgy leggings. The face of Myer, Jennifer Hawkins drew cheers from the crowd as she took to the runway in a beautiful leather bodice layered with a black beaded tank and long sheer skirt. Maticevski’s phenomenal Twilight inspired collection gave a new meaning to ‘killing it’.

Magdalena Velevska’s collection featured delicate petal detailing which gave her pieces a 3-D feel. The snake tail detail added a unique twist to her well tailored pieces.

Blaq presented form fitting menswear with a focus on navy and autumn tones.

Basque based their collection around black and blue creating classic silhouettes perfect for the office. Peplums and fluted hems added an on-trend touch.

Digital prints, bold bomber jackets and bright floral prints were punctuated with black and pewters for Nicola Finetti’s street wear inspired Autumn/Winter collection.

Checks and stripes were presented in classic black and white, in Cue’s perfect for the office collection.

Wayne Cooper presented a conservative collection punctuated with YSL inspired hats which added an element of mystery.

Perfect for the man who wants to add some colour to his wardrobe this Autumn/Winter, Autonomy’s collection mixed navy and black with some warm Autumn tones.
Standout piece: Canada red checked shirt, navy patch sweater, checked jacket and stretch chino in rust.
Based on a palette of camel, blush, caramel and navy, Kate Sylvester’s collection will be great for layering when the weather gets colder.

Bronze sequin dresses, black and gold print matching jumper and pants, and boxy biker jackets from Manning Cartell will have you ready for day and night during Autumn/Winter.

Trent Nathan channeled the latest YSL collection with wide brim black hats and matching two piece suits.

Jayson Brunsdon’s collection presented an elegant range of gowns and cocktail dresses perfect for attending a winter wedding.

Black and charcoal were the palette of choice for Aurelio Costarella’s range of gowns and tailored skirts and jackets. Perfect for a winter wedding or special occasion.

Wide brim hats, wide sleeves and leather detailing all featured in Arthur Galan’s women’s collection, while the menswear featured well tailored jackets with a quirky trims and slim jeans.

Fleur Wood’s boho inspired collection featured delicate lace detailing and floaty dresses.

Leona Edmiston’s collection featured pretty floral prints and relaxed silhouettes, great for wearing with tights in Winter and ankle boots in Autumn.

Bold floral prints and matched with beautiful day dresses were presented by T.L.Wood.

Yeojin Bae’s diffusion line stayed true to her aesthetic of elegantly simple, tailored silhouettes, great as investments pieces.

R&G showed a collection that was great for the rugged man. Cosy winter jackets matched with bottoms in warm Autumn colours.

Karen Walker’s collection featured quirky prints, polka dots and cute collared jumpers.

Charlie Brown’s range was based on leather leggings, gold foiled jeans and camouflage cargo pants, mixed in with fleecy tunics and resigned bronze denim trench.

Morrison’s collection was based on luxe leathers, tailored to fitted silhouettes and streamline jackets.

Politix put a new spin on formal wear with their velvet and denim collection.

SASS & BIDE
Fresh from their London Fashion Week show, sass & bide closed the show with their latest collection which featured their trademark sequins, silk organza, rise and fall silhouettes and delicate embellishments.
