MELISSA SHOES LAUNCHES THEIR SS14 COLLECTION AT QV’S HIDDEN HIDEAWAY

A beautiful luxe forrest oasis nestled in the depths of the city, the QV Hideaway formed the perfect backdrop for Melissa Shoes to launch their Spring/Summer14 collection. This quirky shoe company not only has a cult following worldwide, but it has collaborated with some of the world’s top designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Jason Wu, Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood.

The latest collection is built for hot spring days and balmy summer nights. Sandals embellished with on-trend bold bows and floral detailing will appeal to those looking to add a feminine touch to their outfit. Thick stacked heels and scattered gold spikes add an edge to the collection, perfect for those who are looking to toughen up an outfit but still keep a cheeky vibe.

Based on a palette of classic blacks and nudes, punctuated with pops of colour, the collection offers a silhouette for every occasion. The latest Spring/Summer range also presents the latest Vivienne Westwood collection. The dame of British fashion, Westwood has always been known for her fashion statements, so she makes the perfect collaborator for this season’s collection. Bright floral prints, inspired by a country garden cover each shoe. Westwood’s trademark logo is emblazoned on each pair.

Stand out pieces for the season are the black and white t-bar heels, nude sandals with gold spikes and bright red jellies which put a modern spin on a classic shape.
