Converse launched their Winter 15 collection in style with an intimate dinner held to preview the dynamic new collection. An upstairs Sydney warehouse space was converted into an Art Gallery of sneakers which led to a private dining room.

A select group of guests were invited to preview Converse’s latest range via a personalised gallery tour, showcasing the new range which were artistically displayed amongst portraits and other merchandise. Some of the latest designs incorporate consumers’ desire for more attention to lining, water resistance, and comfort. Sneaker chandeliers artistically set the scene for the dining room.

A ‘blank canvas’ theme was adopted throughout the night. Brand manager and special guests, Benjamin Cooper (executive chef of Chin Chin), Callum Preston (artist) and Johann Ponniah (I Oh You Records) shared their fun and personal stories about their favourite pair of ‘Chucks’ – detailing where they have been and why they are so loved!

When it came time for main course, guests were presented with their own ‘blank canvas’ (plate) to ‘create their own’, featuring an 18 hour slow cooked lamb shoulder that left Sydney invitees planning their next trip to Melbourne – just to enjoy another Chin Chin dining experience. Guests were treated to portraits of their favourite pair of ‘chucks’ to begin sharing their own stories.
