Ok, hands up who hasn’t quite got over the fact that summer seem to come and go in the blink of an eye, coupled with the fact we can no longer spend every Wednesday evening hanging out with friends and a glass of sangria on the dusky eves at the Queen Vic Night Market?!

Never fear my friends for last week saw the return of Luna 1878, a winter night market each Wednesday until 27th August. That’s seven whole weeks of spiced mulled wine, live music and a mouth watering selection of nibbles. Summer favourites return  in the form of Hammer and Tong, Hoy Pinoy and Wonderbao, not forgetting the delicious Gourmet Soup Factory and dreamy desserts from La Creperie and the Creme Brulee Cart.

The market is transformed with fire pits, entertainment, cabaret stars and  a selection of beauty, fashion, craft and gift stalls to tempt those who love to shop after work.

Live music from the likes of Hetty Kate, Samassin and Mat Glass and a silent disco, a must for anyone who hasn’t experienced one gives a reason to return each week… not that you’d need one!

So “rug up” in those winter woolies and head down to savour some comfort food and winter drinks from around the world, open from 5pm – 9pm.
