Pitting modernity against naturalism, Sass & Bide’s debut pre fall offering screams cosmopolitan chic – fitting, given the Australian designer duo have recently opened their first international flagship in trendy Soho. Proving the Gatsby trend isn’t quite over, the opulent line features metallic basket weave prints, fluid maxi skirts and, of course, the label’s signature heavy embellishment. Tribal accents adorn a trench and draped pants, while avian prints feature on a track set and structured jacket. Despite openly experiencing the hardships of the current retail climate, if this collection is anything to go by Sass & Bide are in for a sensational 2014.
