Fresh from presenting their latest collection on the runway at New York Fashion Week to rave reviews, Zimmermann have come back home to warmer Australian weather to release their latest Summer Swim 2015 collection.

The campaign is shot by Australian photographer Simon Lekias, with the retro backdrop of a local Sydney pool forming the perfect juxtaposition to the modern designs. In demand model Ophelie Guillermand stars in the campaign. Since shooting for Zimmermann, Guillermand has gone on to have an extremely successful fashion month culminating in opening and closing for Chloe in Paris. She also walked for Mugler, Dolce & Gabbana’s mother’s day show, Sonia Rykiel, Marchesa, Jason Wu among others during the big fashion weeks in the States and Europe.

“We wanted the campaign to invoke the nostalgic backdrop of hot Australian summers by the local pool, but with a sophisticated and modern direction” said Zimmermann of the collection.  The brand’s trademark bonded Lycra is re-imagined in bold, modern shapes designed to flatter the body. The collection is peppered with feminine florals and paisley, adding a touch of the boho spirit Zimmermann have become known for.

Simple forms are decorated with bonded flounces, laddered trim inserts andprinted mesh overlay to add new dimensions to the range. A mix of one pieces and bikinis offer something for every body shape.

Embroidered daywear showcase custom trims in curved panelling and open backs, creating modern shapes in wrap tops and mini dresses. Playsuits celebrate Zimmermann’s bohemian attitude with smooth style lines which echo the sentiment of key swim highlights.

Accessories such as knotted leather sandals and canvas and suede bags form the perfect companions to the beautiful designs.

Zimmermann’s Summer Swim 2015 collection is available globally in stores and online now.
