Sunscreen is definitely the first step for keeping your face and body protected but with the change in temperature, humidity and sunlight, it’s also good to make sure you have the right products to keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Here are some of the products I’ve been using to help my Face and Body over these Summer months.

CeraVe Smoothing Cleanser has been a wonderful addition to my skincare regime. The cleanser is formulated with salicylic acid that helps to smooth dry and rough skin whilst ceramides help to protect the skin barrier and keeping the skin hydrated. It’s also great for smoothing out bumpy skin which I find I get during summer.

Danish brand, Beaute Pacifique’s Gentle Facial Exfoliator lives up to its name.  It gently buffs away dead skin from your face without feeling harsh on your skin, unlike some other physical exfoliators which can feel like your brushing your face with sandpaper. The lightweight formulation is easily applied and the micro biodegradable pearls (made from natural ingredients that degrate without polluting) provide enough buffing to plough away dead skin cells. It’s also formulated with Olive Fruit Oil to help with hydration so your skin feels not only clean but hydrated, ready for the application of other skincare.

Available at Beaute Pacifique and Adore Beauty

Grown Alchemist’s Intensive Body Exfoliant is a lovely body exfoliator that will leave your skin feeling fresh and clean. The formulation features active ingredients to help purify but also hydrate the skin. I love to use this once a week to buff away any dead skin cells, especially on my legs which are prone to drying out as I wear a lot of dresses. I also use exfoliating gloves in applying this on my body.

Available at Grown Alchemist, Adore Beauty, David Jones and The Iconic

Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Night Concentrate has been a really lovely addition to my nightly routine. It has helped to provide a big boost of hydration to my skin due to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E in the formulation as well as Olive extract. Although it is lightweight, it’s very effective in providing my skin with a hydration hit. The gel like formulation is easy to apply and absorbs well without leaving any residue. It works its magic overnight and my skin feels great in the morning.

Available at leading supermarkets and pharmacies

Cult product Creme de Corps by Kiehl’s remains one body moisturiser on high rotation in my bathroom. This cream is rich and hydrating but don’t mistake that for being greasy or heavy. Remarkably Creme de Corps is easily applied and absorbs really well into the skin, leaving it feeling energised and hydrated.

Available at Kiehl’s, leading department stores, Mecca and Adore Beauty

I’ve added Mario Badescu Aloe, Cucumber & Green Tea Facial Spray to my work desk so I can give myself a spritz during the day. This lovely facial spray provides an instant hydration boost to help my skin feel energised during the day, with the additional benefit of providing antioxidants to help invigorate my skin. I also use this spray after applying makeup to give my face a dewy look. The spray is super absorbent and leaves not residue or sticky feeling on the face.
