Summer is so close we can almost feel it! The 2012-2013 resort wear collections are setting our hearts a-flutter with new season prints, colours and styles for the coming summer months.

Overseas, abstract patterns and colour, shots of classic black, white, neon, hints of athleticism, pretty pastels, girly florals, fierce animal prints and stripes were all strong trends on the international runways.

Back on home soil our favourite Aussie designers have released their own dazzling resort wear 2012-2013 collections, featuring all the hot international trends, in both swimwear and resort wear clothing. These iconic Aussie labels offer colours, prints and styles for every skin-tone, shape and size.

 

LOVER

World-renowned for their feminine, classic and ethereal dresses, LOVER’s resort wear collection is equally beautiful this season. Their 2012-13 collection features exquisite pieces in florals, pastels, classic black, white, paisley and lace, in gorgeous fabrics with an antique Victorian feel.

                                       

The clothing range includes the amazing pastel blue flower print pants ($349), which will effortlessly take you from poolside to restaurant, and day to night, with sheer shirts and soft flowing caftans perfect for throwing over your swimsuit. The range also includes dressy pieces like the white shirt with lace detailing on its hemline, white accordion skirt and white Victorian-inspired sundress.

                                        

The swimwear includes elegant one-pieces and bikinis like the beautiful blue and white one-piece with subtle front zip ($249), and the black and white floral strapless one-piece. High-waisted bikini bottoms are still a strong trend for LOVER with beautiful white lace, black lace, crochet and an array of pretty prints to channel the inner 50s siren in you.

 

CAMILLA & MARC

Known for their signature look of luxe fabrications, clean tailoring and modern silhouette, this brother-sister team continues this tradition into beach wear with Camilla and Marc Swim, creating stylish and fun resort wear pieces.

                    

The 2012-2013 clothing collection features pastel pinks, apricots, and mints, with a splash of neon in yellow, fuchsia, and cobalt. Designs include peplum tops, tailored pants, shift dresses, shorts and jump suits in stripes, floral prints, star print, colour blocking, blacks, whites and tropical print.

                    

Their swimwear pieces are equally impressive with pastels, stripes, polka dots and geometric patterns dominating. ANNA & BOY

Anna & Boy creates retro-feel swimwear in an eclectic array of signature prints for both men and women with a vintage-inspired look. With their 2012-2013 swimwear and ever-growing clothing collection, this is one cool label for summer.

                              

With simplistic, modern and classic designs, inspired by a “tough, animalistic feel… a sweetie-pie floral vibe… and even the neon-aloha print”, there’s something for everyone in their latest collection. Stripes are a strong theme, with the beige, navy and white striped crop-top ($225), as well as polka dots, like the blue paisley and white polka dot caftan ($295).

                              

They have some great classic swimwear styles on offer for summer, including their minimalistic black triangle bikini ($185); their beige, navy and white striped triangle bikini ($185) and retro styles like the 70s-inspired print bikini ($225).

 

ZIMMERMAN

World-renowned for its sophisticated femininity, strong silhouettes, clever color combinations and delicate original prints, the eponymous label has a huge range of beautiful swimwear and resort wear pieces this season.

 

Tapping into all the international trends the new range features neons, florals, animal, print, tribal, and candy stripes in great resort wear pieces like the black long-sleeve jumpsuit ($375), the white anorak ($375), pink floral maxi dress ($395), and the tribal print maxi dress ($550).

Zimmerman offers styles and prints to suit every shape, including bikinis and one-pieces in myriad designs and styles, with ruching, frills, crochet, and even rash vests for the harsh Australian sun! The resort wear 2012-2013 range offers sexy bikinis in animal prints, girly pieces like the emerald and purple floral frill bikini ($240), and elegant one-pieces like the floral strapless one-piece ($310).

 

EMMAJANE

Emmajane is a young Australian clothing label made with love and care through hand printed silks and rayons, embellished with delicately sewn beads and sequins. With a love for vintage pieces, high-end fashion and world culture, Emmajane is flirty and fun, colourful and free-spirited, sexy chic and elegant. Their Tropical Cruise resort wear collection is perfect for our laid back Australian summer.

           

The new range offers super cute prints that will take you from beach to bar, like the Siesta Sands sunset inspired print.
