Melbourne CBD’s pub scene is about to get a major new player with the arrival of Quarterhouse, a three-level drinking and dining destination opening Wednesday 14th May. Positioned next to Southern Cross Station in the heart of the Melbourne Quarter precinct, the vibrant new venue is set to cater to after-work drinks, game-day gatherings, and weekend celebrations with bookings now open to the public.
Designed to host up to 1400 guests, Quarterhouse blends traditional pub charm with contemporary style and natural elements across three distinct levels. The Ground Floor offers a classic pub feel with hearty meals, cold pints, and a 4-metre LED screen for live sport, while Level One provides a versatile terrace space for private and corporate functions. Crowning the venue is a rooftop bar and open-air terrace, opening directly onto the new inner-city Sky Park suspended above Collins Street—delivering city views and an elevated experience.
Food lovers can expect two menus curated for each level, featuring pub favourites with a Euro gastro-pub twist. On the Ground Floor, highlights include Fried Squid with pickled fennel, the signature Quarterhouse Burger, and wood-fired flatbreads. Up on the Rooftop, the menu leans into indulgence with Wagyu Beef Skewers, Crumbed Pork Ribeye, Pan-Fried Barramundi, and an impressive line-up of wood-fired pizzas. Entertainment is also front and centre, with a packed weekly line-up featuring Sunset Sip DJs, rooftop acoustic sets, Saturday Long Lunch sessions, and a $35 Sunday Roast with bottomless gravy.
To mark its opening, Quarterhouse is inviting locals to enjoy their first drink on the house from 4pm, Thursday 15th May in the Public Bar—complete with free canapés, live music and a warm welcome. With its dynamic food and drink offering, sweeping rooftop views, and a schedule of lively entertainment, Quarterhouse is primed to become the CBD’s newest go-to spot.
