Kenobi Bar launches in Melbourne

Kenobi offers an exceptional cocktail list and an extensive range of exclusive champagnes including Asian Fusion Fizz (the cocktail includes a secret spice), Strong & Cold (a mint refreshment with subtle strength), Australian Iced Tea (Kenobi’s take on the Long Island Iced Tea) and a food menu is available for lunch, dinner and function catering. The menu is a cross between traditional Thai and Indonesian cuisine with South East Asian influences including vegetarian cigars and BBQ beef ribs.

Kenobi also has its own cinema with a huge retractable screen which plays classic and current hit movies during the week; plus a popcorn machine which dispenses various flavors to ensure you enjoy a total movie experience. Co-owner of Hammer & Tong in Fitzroy, Dennis Ferreira (former Jacques Reymond sommelier), is passionate about enhancing a diners experience through a wine complementary to their dish. Ferreira has invited Victoria’s best winemakers to host a dinner at Hammer & Tong, to showcase their wines and to demonstrate their perfect pairing with food.
Meet Your Maker on May 14 is a four course dinner by executive chef Simon Ward (formerly Vue de Monde) with a four component wine match; hosts include James Lance of Punch Lance’s Vineyard, Barnaby Flanders of Garagiste Vinters, Emily McNally of Occams Razor and Tennille Chalmers of Chalmers Wines.

Jimmy Grants opens at Emporium Melbourne

George Colombaris’ empire continues to expand with his modern day Greek street food establishment, Jimmy Grants opening a new outlet at the new Emporium Melbourne.
