To celebrate Mother’s Day, Madame Flavour has created something special by releasing her first ever range of gift teas. The two limited-edition custom blends, Beautiful Breakfast and Lady Grey are housed in beautifully-illustrated storage tins designed by Melbourne fashion illustrator, Alexia Petsinis.

Madame Flavour wants women to experience the pleasure and ritual tea-drinking has traditionally provided, by reimagining the loose-leaf tea tin in a fun and inspiring way.

Madame Flavour Founder Corinne Noyes, is passionate not only about the quality of the blend, but the entire tea experience.

“I find tea tins can sometimes be overbranded and lacking in imagination. I wanted to create truly beautiful and practical tins that women are proud to display, genuinely touched to receive and that bring something special to the whole tea-drinking experience,” Corinne said.

An avid Madame Flavour tea drinker herself, Alexia’s beautiful and ethereal style resonated with Corinne and the Madame Flavour vision.

Alexia illustrated with the new blends in mind. Through fragile line work and feminine shapes and colours, she created distinct personalities and looks for each ‘character’. Her ideas flowed organically and the end result perfectly represented each flavour.

‘Beautiful Breakfast’, is a glamourous blonde wearing a flowing gown of pink camellias – specially chosen as this is the plant that tea originates from – with a vanilla blossom in her hair, a nod to the touch of vanilla in this blend.

‘Lady Grey’, is a gentle brunette wearing a bodice intricately woven with delicate blue cornflowers, and a fascinator inspired by the curl of an orange peel.

To contrast the illustrations, a duck-egg blue and rich red glossy background were chosen to highlight the natural beauty of each women and add a modern flair.

Corinne created two custom blends after many requests over the years from tea lovers, with Mother’s Day being the perfect time to release them.

“I love the idea of daughter’s giving these special teas to their mother’s – maybe even bringing them a cup in bed with the tins wrapped on the side. I know I would love it if my daughter Sienna did that,” Corinne said.

The limited-edition tins have been created with a luxurious experience in mind and feature the highest quality bespoke local tea blends to delight the senses.

Beautiful Breakfast 75g: A full-bodied, fresh Ceylon loose leaf tea that is created from three of Corinne’s favourite local estates. This tea is divine in taste and aroma, with just a hint of sweet vanilla that amplifies the delicious malty black tea notes. It’s the perfect blend if you like your tea with a hint of milk.

Lady Grey 75g: One for Grey lovers, this blend features Ceylon and Assam leaf teas with New South Wales Lemon Myrtle leaf, large pieces of orange peel and blue cornflowers.

Tin prices range from $15-20; and are available to purchase exclusively in Coles from now until Mother’s Day on May 8, or until sold out. For a lucky few, there will be a select number of tins available online at madameflavour.com.au
