This May, Le Méridien Melbourne is uncorking something special with the launch of its Monthly Wine Club— a curated wine tasting series hosted at Intermission, the hotel’s stylish and relaxed lobby bar and lounge. Kicking off this May, the new experience invites locals and guests to pause, sip, and connect over exceptional Australian wines and the stories behind them.
Each month, the Wine Club will spotlight a different winemaker, giving guests the chance to meet the minds behind the label while enjoying a guided tasting of 4–5 wines, complemented by complimentary small plates.
In May, the Wine Club will welcome:
- Friday 23 May – Punt Road Wines, presented by winemaker Jarrod James
- Saturday 24 May – Penfolds, led by Key Account Executive Dexter Carlton
Guests will also enjoy exclusive perks, including 20% off dinner at Dolly (when dining the same evening) and 10% off wine purchases. Tickets are $35 per person and available now via Eventbrite: Reserve your spot
A sophisticated new addition to Melbourne’s wine scene, the Le Méridien Wine Club promises to become a go-to monthly ritual for wine lovers and curious sippers alike.
Intermission: A Wine-Led Café Bar in the Heart of Melbourne’s Theatre District
Intermission is a stylish café-by-day, wine-bar-by-night nestled inside Le Méridien Melbourne, directly across from the Princess Theatre. Mornings focus on Axil Coffee Roasters brews and house-made pastries, while afternoons transition into a relaxed, moody wine bar atmosphere.
The wine list highlights Victoria’s best cool-climate producers, with a special emphasis on rosé, Le Méridien’s global signature. The curated, accessible selection pairs perfectly with rotating Petit Plates like arancini, oysters, and calamari with smoked ricotta. Whether it’s a pre-show sip or a late-night wind-down, Intermission offers a refined pocket of calm, and great wine, in the heart of the city.
