Green & Black’s is bringing it’s delicious new Smooth range to Australians – an exceptionally smooth dark chocolate that is passionately crafted for an indulgent experience and delicious taste. Green & Black’s is made with ethically-sourced cocoa that doesn’t compromise on quality or taste, appealing to people’s consciences and their taste buds too.
Green & Black’s was founded in the UK almost 30 years ago by organic and sustainability pioneers Craig Sams and Jo Fairley. Jo was inspired when she first tasted 70% cocoa chocolate, after discovering a sample on Craig’s desk . One taste sparked a chocolate journey and Green & Black’s was born.
“The moment I tasted that chocolate, I knew we were onto something special,” says Green & Black ’s original co-founder Jo Fairley. “Nearly thirty years on and our founding principles continue: Green symbolises a commitment to sourcing ethical cocoa and the finest ingredients, and Black stands for the passionately crafted, high quality and delicious tasting chocolate.”
Craig Sams, original co-founder of Green & Black’s adds, “Since 1991, our ambition has been to bring together the principles of ethics and indulgence to create a chocolate like no other. This star ted with an organic line and now includes the new Smooth range. Maintaining the absolute highest standards for what goes into the chocolate is a tradition which Green & Black’s continues to this day.”
The Green & Black’s Smooth range comes in five delicious flavours – 70% Cocoa, Mint, Roasted Almond, Orange & Almond, and Salted Caramel – all of which include 70% ethically-sourced cocoa beans and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. This gives a taste that is rich in cocoa content, yet exceptionally smooth in flavour. Each 90- gram chocolate block is encased in premium, colourful packaging representing one of the four flavours.
The cocoa in the Smooth range is sourced through Cocoa Life, an industry-leading, independently verified programme that supports sustainable cocoa farming. Green & Black’s works directly with cocoa farmers across the globe, empowering them to address challenges faced by the cocoa farming industry and to inspire future generations of cocoa farmers.
