Hungry Bear has opened in Menzies Alley, at Melbourne Central. Open 7 days a week from 11am until 9pm, Hungry Bear is set to be an exciting
addition to Melbourne’s foodie scene.

The Hungry Bear menu is simple consisting of 15 pizzas which are made fresh in front of diners. Pizza names are perfectly tongue-in-cheek like the ‘Paul Hogan’, the ‘Holy Cheeses’ featuring 9 cheeses, plus the ‘Bear Necessity’ and the ‘Jon Bon Chovi’. “We set out to make pizza guilt free; our pizzas are healthier and lighter”, says owner Nick Hirons. “They are delicious without that pizza guilt feeling we all get. The ingredients are seasonal, fresh and carefully sourced from our like-minded suppliers.”
With Hungry Bear Pizza, the world’s favourite food needn’t be a compromise. Hungry Bear is delicious, proportionally sized, and inexpensive as well as satisfying our need to eat well. Hungry Bear intends to champion locals and independents especially when it comes to the drinks list. Independent wineries, local breweries and even sodas are all Australian made. Coffee comes in the form of two specialty blends, carefully sourced and roasted for Hungry Bear. It’s sure to bring you out of hibernation. Hungry Bear has a hole-in-the-wall for coffee opposite the main venue and will be brewing from 7AM weekdays.
