After making her successful debut as the new face of David Jones, Jessica Gomes took the latest fashion trends to the streets, hosting a series of style workshops all around Australia, alongside David Jones Racewear Ambassador Emma Freedman.

Among the top trends Gomes spoke about was the sports luxe trend, particular accentuated this season by cutouts, sheer panelling and exposed zippers, the metallic trend which was carried over into accessories too and the french riviera/resort style aesthetic which was seen in beautifully tailored and preppy style pieces.

With Miranda Kerr stepping down as the face of the brand, Gomes has some big shoes to fill but showed she was more than up to the task, talking through the latest trends with ease with Freedman. A Perth native, Gomes is currently based out of LA where she lives with her property developer partner Sebastian Drpac.

It remains to be seen whether Gomes will have the longevity of Kerr in her role as David Jones ambassador, but she is already off to a great start with her involvement with the brand this Spring/Summer. Gomes will certainly appeal to a younger, hipper demographic which is just what David Jones needs as the retail wars heat up leading into the new season.
