Iconic Australian brands Cotton On and Mark Tuckey have come together to create a bespoke homewares collection that makes modern and effortless design accessible and fun for everyone, in an authentic and quintessential Australian style.

Launching online on Friday 3 July 2015 and in select Cotton On stores from Wednesday 8 July 2015, the collection is Cotton On’s first foray into the homewares market as the global retail powerhouse expands its category offering and moves into the lifestyle space.

The collection features beautifully designed pieces for various areas of the home categorised by Eat, Drink, Relax, Store, Bathe and Sleep. The range includes bed linen, cushions, blankets and throws, wooden serving bowls, platters, ceramic storage jars and mugs, wooden chopping boards and general storage vessels.

From design enthusiasts wanting to recreate the lifestyle and home of those they admire, to first-time renters who want to have fun styling their space with accessible products, the collection combines optimistic and effortless design with pared-back Australian simplicity and features quality natural materials such as cotton, linen and timber.

Cotton On General Manager Felicity McGahan said expanding into the homewares market is an exciting move for the global retailer and also marks its first brand partnership. “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with one of the country’s iconic design brands to create accessories for your home that reflect our honest, relaxed, quintessentially Australian style.

“The new collection complements our core men’s and women’s business and gives us the opportunity to make modern and effortless Australian design accessible to our community,” said Ms McGahan.

The Mark Tuckey + Cotton On collection includes the Eat, Drink, Relax, Store, Bathe and Sleep, comprising of kitchenware, blankets and throws, bedding and storage solutions.

Mark and Louella Tuckey said they were drawn to partner with Cotton On because of the brand’s like- minded relaxed, quintessentially Australian style and ability to create accessible products that people want, now. “We’re excited about the opportunity to design a fun, relaxed and accessible collection with Cotton On that will allow us to introduce the MARK TUCKEY brand to customers and homes throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa,” said the pair.

“The concept of Mark Tuckey + Cotton On is in line with that of our main business – to create products that we love and that we want to live with in our own home. It’s about that same passion. The result is an authentic and honest collection based on a natural palette with pops of colour and a focus on good, clean design at affordable prices.”
