The models stepped out with glowing complexions, red matte lips and defined eye shadow across their lids, which extended back towards their temples. Working the base with Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Makeup and Revlon Photoready Prime + Anti Shine Balm for light coverage, makeup director Rae Morris wanted the girls to look youthful and feminine.

“This is a classic feminine look, with the emphasis on the mouth with strong matte red lips, and lots of glow on the skin but keeping the T-zone slightly powdered and soft contour on the eyes just to add definition,” said Morris.

A light dust of Revlon Glow Powder in Sun Glow across both sides of the face and a brush of blush to the apples of the cheeks brought warmth to the entire look. Morris used a mixture of Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow in Addictive and Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks in Bone to define the eyes. Finishing off the look with hints of Revlon Bold Lacquer Length and Volume Mascara on the lashes and a striking bold lip using Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Certainly Red.

HAIR BY KENNETH STODDART

Couturing caught up with VAMFF Hair Director Kenneth Stoddart backstage for Premium Runway 4 to discuss all things hair.

Taking inspiration from the natural tresses seen around urban Melbourne, Kenneth worked with the ELLE look initially to capture the perfect runway style for SHOP Til You Drop’s presentation. Keeping with the solid slicked down side part and hair pulled behind the ear on one side, Kenneth and his team of professional hair stylists worked with the natural kinks in the models hair and emphasised the wave in the mid lengths.

“This was a progression of the ELLE look so we kept the solid slicked down side part and minimal to flat hair look tucked behind the ear to one side,” said Stoddart.

“We wanted to put a wave through the mid-length of the hair and keep the ends softer and straighter with a more natural look.”
