Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner

LIKED

This was the first Moroccanoil product I’ve used at home. My hairdresser is a huge fan and every time I visit him, I always leave with not only a great hair cut, but really shiny and soft hair.

The Morroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner is, as promised, wonderfully hydrating. The first time I used it, I noticed a marked difference in the feel of my hair. It was soft and smooth, with a shine that lasted until the next wash. The product says it helps to prevent dryness and dehydration whilst maintaining the hair’s elasticity and over the time I used it, it did exactly that.

It works to infuse hair with antioxidant argan oil and replenishing nutrients including Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Red Algae, to help combat free radicals. What I also loved was the it was great for my coloured hair – it helped to retain the colour – and it is free of sulfates, phosphates and parabens, meaning my hair is clean without a layer of chemical protection.

DISLIKED

My only drawback, and this is probably more about user error than anything else, was that I had to take particular care to note how much product was required for the perfect wash versus one that made my hair feel heavy. This only happened a few times, but is likely because I used just a bit too much! For my hair (and I have long hair), an amount the size of a 20c coin ended up being the perfect amount for my hair and I only really used it on my ends.

THE VERDICT

All in all, I really loved the Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. Given I started using it at the end of Summer, it has really worked well in the cooler weather and has helped to rebalance the moisture in my hair after being out in the sun. I also absolutely adore the smell of this shampoo and it really has made a difference to it.
