Cult Australian sunscreen brand Ultra Violette will launch into Sephora’s Australia and New Zealand stores on 5 February, 2020. Headlining an entirely new category for the global beauty trailblazer in this market, Ultra Violette will not only be the latest addition to Sephora’s growing A-Beauty portfolio but the very first dedicated sunscreen brand.

The launch into Sephora marks Ultra Violette’s first move into offline retail. Birthed in late January 2019, the Melbourne-based brand has enjoyed phenomenal success online in the past twelve months, building a loyal and highly engaged following, first through their own e-commerce channels and later,

However, founders Ava Matthews and Bec Jefferd believe their move into bricks-and-mortar beauty retail to be an important and necessary one for the future growth of the brand. “ An in-store presence will not only grow brand awareness but Sephora will help us continue to spread the important message that sunscreen, or skinscreen as we like to call it, is really the MVP for every face,” explains Matthews. “We know sunscreen and Sephora know niche beauty retail so for us, this is couple goals come true.”

Launching with the brand’s top-selling Queen Screen SPF50+ Luminising Sun Serum and Supreme Screen SPF 50+ Hydrating Facial Sunscreen in January, the popular physical sunscreen Clean Screen SPF30+ Mattifying Mineral Sunscreen and Sheen Screen SPF50+ Hydrating Lip Balms will follow
shortly thereafter, as will the already-waitlisted launch of Extreme Screen Hydrating Body and Hand SPF50+.

‘Sephora is a great fit for Ultra Violette and our skinscreens will not only offer the Sephora customer wearable, broad-spectrum sun protection but they also compliment Sephora’s growing makeup and skincare portfolio, adds Jefferd. “All of our formulations have been specifically designed to pair seamlessly with your favourite skincare and makeup, after moisturiser and before foundation. And they’re made and tested in Australia, in the harshest UV conditions on the planet.” With the launch into Sephora stores this month, online at in April, and a number of innovative new product
launches to come, 2020 is set to be an exciting year for Ultra Violette.
