Celebrating its second year as Official Airline Partner of the Australian Open, Emirates has opened the doors to its exclusive hospitality Suite at Melbourne Park and cheer on the Grand Slam Greats at the 2016 Australian Open.

The Emirates suite features a stunning tennis ball wall which has been created out of 738 white tennis balls, methodically and patiently placed into position. Inspired by the sublime surroundings of the Royal Botanical Gardens and views of the Yarra, the interior of the Emirates Suite is fresh and welcoming, with a colour palette of apple green, mother of pearl, luminous whites and slate, and luxurious furnishing from Europe.

The key feature of the suite is a sleek custom made bar, constructed from environmentally friendly plant resin and warm timbers. Emirates’ impressive route network featuring over 150 destinations globally is displayed on a feature wall and the iconic Emirates’ tennis racquet ceiling fan is back again for 2016.

Reflecting a handful of Emirates’ key European destinations – France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Scandinavia (including Denmark, Sweden and Norway) – the Emirates Suite menu is evolving throughout the tournament offering guests delectable dishes. The international inspired dishes are reflective of the superior cuisine which Emirates is proud to serve on board – all using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Guests will be able to choose to dine al fresco on the river-view deck overlooking the iconic Yarra River, or in the air conditioned cool of the Suite.

Four exclusive cocktails are being served with the first week showcasing an Italian-inspired ‘Aperol Spritz’ and champagne-infused ‘French 75’ taking centre stage, and this week the ‘Madrid Mule’ and classic ‘Gin & Tonic with fresh cucumber’ will be served up for tennis fans.

Emirates enjoyment is not just for those attending the exclusive Emirates Suite, as iconic Emirates Cabin Crew will roam Melbourne Park throughout the Australian Open, handing out on-the-spot prizes. Australian Open goers’ will also be able to follow Emirates on social media and can win the opportunity for seat upgrades and on-court ticket access via #EmiratesCheckIn.

During the past week, some of Australia’s most favourite celebrities and guests visited the Emirates Suite. Check out the gallery below to see who!
