“Lancome- the beauty brand that delivers French elegance around the world”

Bright pops of colour and femininity is the ‘it’ Lancome look this season. The French cosmetics house has unveiled its latest ad campaign for the Spring/Summer 2013 In Love collection.

This is Emma Watson’s first makeup collection created for Lancome. Drawing her inspiration from the ‘awakening of love in spring time’, the range is colourful and wearable.

Watson also helped to design the product packaging with a hand drawn pattern incorporating her personal vision of makeup and tradition.

Watson fronts the new campaign appearing lovely and summery swathed in oranges and pinks. The collection depicts the notion of love through its colour palette, mixing bright pastels and colour block, suitable for all complexions. Watson wears soft rose pink blush, petal pink lipstick and striking jade eyeliner.

The new range was further inspired by vibrant colours of pop art street murals, neon city lights and pastel shades of spring flora.  This is reflected as ‘In Love’ boasts bold fuchsia and coral colours as well as softer corals and violets.

The collection includes translucent pink lipstick ‘Baume in Love’, coral blush compacts ‘Cheeks in love’, glossy nail polishes and bold kohl pencils. Sparkling ombre hypnose eye-shadows are available in six colours ranging from intense to subtle tones, including ‘cosmopolitan mint, sugar rose and violette candy’. The shades promise to be silky and long lasting.

An interesting addition to the collection is the dewy glow mist, beauty water designed to prepare the skin for makeup application or fix makeup for a glowing radiant complexion.

This latest ad is Watson’s fourth campaign for Lancome, after becoming the face of the brand in 2011. The 2012 collection “Rouge in Love” focused on passion with vibrant fire red shades of lipsticks.

The new “In Love” collection will be available from the 24 February 2013 from Myer, David Jones and selected pharmacies.
