One of Australia’s hottest musical exports, DJ Havana Brown, was given the keys to Sunglass Hut for a very special night time party. Rather than head out for a night on the town, Havana grabbed some of her friends and head to Sunglass Hut for an exclusive look at the latest styles. To set the mood for the night, Havana hit the decks, showing why she is one of the world’s most in-demand DJ’s.

To get glam for her big night, Havana enlisted the help of Lara Bingle’s makeup guru bestie, Max May to create the perfect party look. To help you create your own party look at home, Max gave us the lowdown on how to achieve the look: “Havanas signature makeup style both on and off the stage is very much about a warm, golden bronzed colour palette. A colour palette that works in perfect synergy with sunglasses and Sunglass Hut’s style. So it was only natural that we maintained those tones and gave her a cool understated nude lip to complement her Summer skin and the glasses she was wearing though out the campaign. It’s all about playing with the colour of your lips to compliment or contrast to your sunglasses when finishing your makeup. Hair we wanted to keep cool and lived-in look! A middle-part works perfectly when wearing sunglasses as it frames the face drawing the attention to the glasses and your lip of choice.”

Max also gave us the key products you’ll need to replicate the look. “[For Havana’s hair] I used Kerastase Resistance Volumactive Mousse on Havana’s roots to add volume and give her hair a natural sheen. I picked up random pieces and tonged Havanas hair to give that loose beachy wave. To finish I sprayed KMS Sea Salt Spray through the mid lengths and ends and scrunched before allowing to dry. The salt will encourage the hair to put a bit of it’s own natural wave in there and give a lived-in look. There were  3 signature pieces to Havana’s [beauty] look. For the complexion is was all about Charlotte Tilbury’s Film Star Bronze and Illuminate to contour and highlight the skin, resulting in a warm Summery glow. Brows are a extremely important part of Havana’s look. They are also very important when wearing glasses as they are often seen and therefore become quite a defining feature. I filled her brows with L’Oreal Paris Brow Professional Pencil in Light Brown and set them in place with MAC’S Clear Brow Set. Finally for the lips I used on of my and Havana’s favourite nude lipsticks Shy Girl by MAC Cosmetics.”
