Over the weekend, emerging designer Cathleen Tan launched her latest collection Première for her label Cathleen Jia at the beautiful Domain Flowers in South Yarra.

The air was filled with the scent of flowers in full bloom, with some of Cathleen’s beautiful jewellery designs adorning the branches and stems of the foliage.  Guests were treated to a refreshing 2011 Sauvignon Blanc from Tuck’s Ridge, and delicate cupcakes from cupcake specialists Cupcake Central, who created a variety of mini cupcakes in the colour palette of Cathleen’s latest collection.

While the guests were mingling, a model dressed in Cathleen’s stunning designs posed for photos, allowing people to view each piece in the collection  up close. Inspired by the glamour and elegance of the 1920’s and 1940’s, Cathleen’s designs are handmade in Melbourne by Cathleen, from delicate silk in a signature colour palette.

Embellished with lace and crystals, each dress in the Première range is named after a timeless style icon. With names like Miss Audrey, Princess Grace and Lady Clara Bow, Cathleen’s enchanting range is sure to have something for every special occasion.
