What’s better that one Brit It Girl? Try two. Burberry have landed the hottest model of the moment, Cara Delevigne, and teamed her up with the biggest model of the 90’s Kate Moss, to celebrate the launch of their latest fragrance My Burberry. In the risque campaign, Delevingne and Moss wear nothing but Burberry’s iconic trench as they playfully spray the scent, which was designed to smell like a London garden after the rain.

Speaking about what it was to work with the iconic Moss, Delevingne said “For me it was so amazing to work with Kate, this was my first time. Although i’ve known her for a while, I’ve never seen her at work. On set she is just amazing and even more magnetic. Everybody watched her.”

Moss was equally enamoured with the model dubbed “the new Kate Moss”, having nothing but positive things to say about Delevingne. “I was so excited when I heard I would be shooting with Cara – I had met her a few times, but never worked with her, so I knew we were going to have a brilliant time, and have a real laugh on set. It was such a simple and natural shoot, it was just Cara, me and our trench coats, and it meant we were really able to just relax and have fun on the day – it was a perfect day!”


The name of the fragrance takes its inspiration from Burberry’s clientele affectionately referring to their coats as ‘My Burberry’. To add to the bespoke nature of the scent, customers will be able to personalise their bottle for free by having up to three initials etched onto their purchase. Carrying on their reputation as one of the biggest luxury brands to be leading the way with technology, Burberry will be using smart phone technology, to allow fans to interact with the campaign on digital billboards to personalise and project a giant My Burberry bottle with their initials. Live mapping will also direct customers to their nearest Burberry store where they can purchase their very own bespoke bottle.


Combining delicious sweet pea and bergamot, fused with a heart of geranium, this fresh, tangy scent is perfect for the coming spring days. “What I love about My Burberry is how timless it is – it’s a frangrance that is so effortless. You can wear it anytime and anywhere.

My Burberry is available from 7th September 2014 at David Jones stores and Burberry boutiques nationally.
