Spring has sprung and it’s been a time of renewal after a long and cold winter. My skin really needed a bit of a boost after winter to hydrate my skin and help smooth it out. I’ve tried a range of products since the end of August specifically to hydrate my face. These are some of my favourites right now.

philosophy renewed hope in a jar overnight

philosophy has always been a brand that I’ve loved, ever since I tried hope in a jar, many moons ago before it was available in Australia. renewed hope in a jar overnight ($65)  is an evolution of hope in a jar and is a refreshing and refining moisturiser. I really loved using this at night. The moisturiser contains a triple blend of AHAs that helped to brighten and smooth my skin and it felt hydrated as the formulation contains a natural plant extract that is known to to help replenish moisture. If you’re looking for a skin overnight saviour then this is exactly what you should be getting.

Available at selected David Jones, Sephora, Mecca Maxima. www.philosophy.com.au

Skin Doctors supermoist

This 24hr hydrating face moisturiser is a multi-functional day time moisturiser that hydrates, protects and illuminates.  I’m an avid fan of a daytime moisturiser that includes sunscreen and supermoist ($44) is perfect as it protects my skin and also helps to hydrate it. The antioxidants in the formulation also helps to treat my skin during the day.  I pop it on after cleansing in the morning and before I do my makeup. I find that the skin illuminators help to brighten my skin and helps to illuminate my skin after I pop on primer and foundation.

Available at www.skindoctors.com.au, Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and selected pharmacies.

nu’trir detoxiying enzymatic radiance masque

I love a good masque to brighten and hydrate my skin. The nu’trir detoxiying enzymatic radiance masque ($39.99) is great to help refresh, exfoliate my skin and is perfect as an in between facial  treatment for your face. Featuring a multitude of natural ingredients such as fruit acids, papaya enzyme actives, manuka honey, goji, chapel fruits and cranberry, it helps to unclog pores and clean out dead skin cells leaving skin radiant and fresh.

If you don’t use a masque as part of your skincare routine, then definitely add one to it. It doesn’t take very long (the masque goes on for no more than 2 minutes) and it’s worth to do an at-home treatment in between facials.

Available Chemist Warehouse, My Chemist, Priceline and selected pharmacies. http://www.nutrir.com.au

SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence

IMG_0247

I’ve been using SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence for the last month throughout the day. A spritz of the essence on my face at least twice a day has helped to keep my face hydrated, especially given I work in an air conditioned/heated office. It’s also great to use over makeup to set it and lock in moisture. The bottle is the perfect size to just keep in the handbag for an spritz whenever you really need.

Available at David Jones, Myer and leading retailers. www.http://www.sk-ii.com.au/en/index.aspx
