Winter has well and truly arrived, bringing wind, rain and plunging temperatures. So it’s definitely time to take stock of your skincare regime and give it a bit of a pep up to make sure that your skin stays hydrated and healthy until Spring! Here are some of my faves to do just that!

KIEHL’S TURMERIC & CRANBERRY SEED ENERGIZING RADIANCE MASQUE ($58)

I’ll be honest. When I first opened this jar it really reminded me of hummus. But don’t let the look of this masque fool you, it’s an amazing addition to any skincare regime with it’s fantastic cleansing and hydrating properties. The consistency is quite thick so this is not a masque that you can immediately spread all over your face. Work in small sections on your face and use a circular motion to apply. This not only gets the circulation going but also allows you to slightly exfoliate the face with the Cranberry seeds.

The formulation features Turmeric which is traditionally known as an ingredient with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties so it’s unsurprising that the masque leaves you with an improved, brighter and healthier glow. Literally in 10 minutes. Rinsed off with warm water, my skin felt hydrated and instantly plumper. The true test is how my skin felt – smooth and supple. A great product to add to the skincare regime and apply every week during Winter.

Available at www.kiehls.com.au, leading department stores or Kiehl’s Boutiques

DERMALOGICA HYDRABLUR PRIMER ($70)

Dermalogica are historically known for their great skincare so when they combine their innovative skincare experience with cosmetics, the result is probably going to be great. This primer has to be one of the best I’ve used in a while. Hydrablur creates the perfect canvas for your makeup. The formulation has been developed with a premise to hydrate the skin whilst also giving a good primer base. The product’s formulation spreads well and you don’t need a lot on your face. It helps to mattify your skin without drying it out and reduces the appearance of pores and uneven skin so that it leaves a silky and luminous finish. So fine lines and wrinkles are given a blurred effect creating a smooth surface for makeup application.

When you apply your foundation, it goes on smoothly and really helps to keep your foundation in place throughout the day. The best thing was how hydrated my skin felt throughout the day, even sitting in a heated office. It’s not one of those primers that sits on your face, the dual action product is really worth every cent.

Available at Dermalogica.com.au and counters at David Jones.

SKINSTITUT MULTI-ACTIVE MIST ($45)

Spritzing my face has become something of a ritual as of late and I’m loving it because it’s so good to just keep your face hydrated. This is a fantastic mist as it helps to not only hydrate the skin but also nourish it at the same time. The formulation includes Vitamin B3, Ginseng, Green Tea and Licorice root nourishes the skin and those ingredients help to reduce inflammation.

PHILOSOPHY TURBO BOOSTER C POWDER ($47)

If you’re looking for a pep up to your skincare regime then make sure you visit your local philosophy skincare stand at David Jones, mecca or Sephora to check out this amazing boost for your face. The Turbo Booster C Powder is a topical vitamin c powder that you can use alone or mixed with your favourite water-based serum or moisturiser. I’ve been using it mixed in with my day moisturiser to give my skin a bit of a boost and protect it from the elements as well as helping with brightening my skin. The bottle comes with a small scoop for you to add the powder to your cream and it’s really easy to use. Definitely a welcome addition to the skincare regime for an extra boost.
