Alexander Wang has announced his upcoming collaboration with H&M earlier today via his first ever Instagram post at midnight EST.

An Instagram video showing the countdown clock of a basketball game’s scoreboard teased the collaboration shortly before Wang and H&M’s joint party at Coachella was due to commence. The clock displays the digits ‘11.06’, with the collection dropping on 6 November of this year. Wang joins the ranks of Isabel Marant and Maison Martin Margiela who have also designed collections for the Swedish retail giant.

In what is perfect timing, Wang is holding a secret joint party this weekend with H&M that is taking place right next to H&M’s invite only event at Coachella.

The announcement comes mere weeks after the arrival of H&M’s largest store opened at Melbourne’s GPO, and the question looms- will the Alexander Wang x H&M collection be available in Australia? We can only hope!

As if Wang isn’t busy enough, he is fresh off his third collection for Balenciaga, and has garnered a cult following worldwide for both his work for Balenciaga as well as his namesake labels Alexander Wang and diffusion line T by Alexander Wang.
