The social event of the summer is on again this weekend in the beautiful seaside city of Portsea. The 2014 Jeep Portsea Polo kicks off on Saturday 11 January 2014 with World class polo matches being the main attractions of the day!
The place to be seen this Saturday will be the Peroni Nastro Azzurro marquee which is hosting a plethora of Melbourne and Sydney celebrities including film star Bella Heathcote, model Sophie Van Den Akker, Scott McGregor, Melody Le and Bec Bramich.
Synonymous with style and its Italian provenance, Peroni Nastro Azzurro will apply the same philosophy to its VIP polo marquee, which in 2014 will resume its position as ‘the marquee’ at one of the country’s most popular events of The outdoor space will be reminiscent of a traditional Italian piazza, inspired by the numerous distinctive cafes and restaurants that line the streets of Rome and will offer a menu designed by one of Melbourne’s best chefs, Adam D’Sylva from Tonka and CODA restaurants.
Adam D’Sylva will be drawing on his Italian heritage, in conjunction with Damn Fine Foods, to provide traditional Italian tastes such as his signature “Nonna’s gnocchi” with sugo, heirloom tomatoes, torn basil and fresh ricotta; Calamari St Andreas with baby rocket and preserved lemon aioli and That’s Amore baby burrata, zucchini fritter and pea salad. Another highlight will be the Roman pizzas that will be freshly made by a pizza chef throughout the afternoon along with the mini waffle cones served with Italian gelati and sorbet. The bar will offer cold Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Peroni Leggera and Kopparberg Cider throughout the day.
“Internationally Peroni Nastro Azzurro is recognised as an Italian style icon and is seen at some of the most desirable fashion and design events, so it’s only fitting that here in Australia we bring some of this Italian style and glamour to the 2014 Jeep Portsea Polo,” said Richard Oppy, General Manager, Peroni.
With such a beautiful setting, the Peroni Nastro Azzurro will definitely be the place to be at the Portsea Polo!
