We’re one step closer to Beauty juggernaut Sephora hitting our shores. With its first store opening this December 2014 with a major flagship store in the premier retail development, Westfield Sydney in Pitt Street Mall, Sephora will launch its official and authorised Australian Instagram and Facebook accounts on September 1, 2014.

This announcement follows the creation of a series of fraudulent Facebook and Instagram accounts, which has lead to misleading information being released onto the Australian market in recent weeks. In light of this unauthorised activity, Sephora wishes to advise that no information or views expressed on these fraudulent sites  is to be taken seriously, and while immediate steps are now being taken to resolve the issue, the brand is not responsible for any miscommunication conveyed as a result
“We regret the action taken by this particular individual(s) and we wish to apologise to our Sephora customers for having been potentially misled by information posted on these platforms”, says Sephora Australia Country Manager, Fiona Novak.

Sephora will launch its Facebook and Instagram channels officially on Monday 1 September under the handle www.facebook.com/SephoraAus and @sephoraaus respectively, from which accurate, inspiring information and imagery will showcase the brand in true Sephora style as the world’s leading beauty authority.

Existing fans of the Sephora Australia Facebook page should continue to maintain their support, given that takeover of the current and fraudulent page will see the followers automatically redirected to the official Sephora site -www.facebook.com/SephoraAus

 “Though imposter pages have taken many steps to appear ‘official’, they will never be able to capture the spirit and personality that is Sephora. We are truly excited and we are looking forward to being able to engage directly and accurately with our Australian consumers as we head towards the future”, says Fiona Novak.

Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tarte, Kat Von D, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Andre Fullerton, Boscia, Skin Inc, For Beloved One, Formula X, Percy & Reed are confirmed for sale in Australia, with more exclusive brands to be announced in the coming months. Please note, any other brands referenced on these fraudulent platforms up until this point, have not been officially verified by Sephora.

In what will be the largest Sephora store in the Southern Hemisphere, the brand will present its complete offerings across make-up, fragrance, skin care, body care and accessories.  Many brands will be exclusive to Sephora and will be revealed for the first time here in this market. This will include Sephora’s own extensive branded range.
