We’re well into awards season now, and at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, our favourite celebrities have been stepping up their red carpet looks ahead of the big one – the Oscars. From old Hollywood glam to ripped from the runway looks, we’re counting down our top ten favourite looks from the red carpet.

10. TATIANA MASLANY IN OSCAR DE LA RENTA

Cracking the top ten is Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany in an edgy Oscar de la Renta stripped gown. The edgy look was perfectly fitted to her body and personality, and with simple hair and make up, the dramatic gown was allowed to take centre stage.

9. REESE WITHERSPOON IN GIORGIO ARMANI

Looking every bit the movie star, Reese earned a spot on our list with her classic, classy look from Giorgio Armani. We loved the all-white look because of the simplicity of the styling, and her sleek hair and make up.

8. CAMILA ALVES IN DONNA KARAN

While the silhouette is one we’ve seen her wear before, it doesn’t make it any less stunning. Camila Alves looked as royal as the colour of her Donna Karan gown, complete with sculptural accents and a dramatic train. Statement accessories and dewy make up completed her look.

7. SARAH HYLAND IN CUSTOM VERA WANG

What a difference a couple of years makes! After several missteps on the red carpet, Modern Family star Sarah Hyland looked stylish, polished, and youthful in a custom Vera Wang gown. The embellished bodice and sheer skirt added drama, and the neckline kept it sleek and sexy.

6. NAOMI WATTS IN BALENCIAGA

Never one to make a mistake on the carpet, Naomi Watts looked radiant in Balenciaga. The column gown with a simplistic shoulder detail was perfectly on-trend in a deep navy, and was complemented by Naomi’s signature

5. FELICITY JONES IN BALENCIAGA

Also in the French fashion house was actress Felicity Jones. On trend with a cross over bodice in a beautiful blush, the minimalistic gown was a standout on the carpet. Rather than adding a necklace that could have made the look heavy, she smartly finished the look with statement earrings and sleek, pulled back hair.

4. CLAIRE DANES IN MARC JACOBS

Homeland star Claire Danes opted for a forest green Marc Jacobs gown, and while the look has been divisive, we loved her taking a risk with the embellished belted piece. Statement diamonds amped up the glamour, but soft waves and a simple smokey eye made sure the look wasn’t overworked.

3. CAITRIONA BALFE IN SOLACE LONDON

Irish actress Caitriona Balfe had one of the best looks on the carpet, wearing a strapless tangerine Solace London. We love the casual chicness on the gown, and the flounce along the neckline made it feel fresh and modern.

2. LUPITA NYONG’O IN ELIE SAAB

Queen of the red carpet, Lupita Nyong’o brought her usual A game for the red carpet, looking radiant in a stunning, printed Elie Saab gown. The silhouette has fresh for the carpet, and risktaker Lupita was the perfect candidate to wear it. A braided bun and dewy makeup completed her look.

1. EMMA STONE IN DIOR

Continuing her masculine tailoring this award season, Emma Stone took out our top spot in her stunning tuxedo inspired look by Dior. The sheer skirt added the sex appeal, but the shape was brand new to the carpet and was perfectly suited to the stunning redheaded actress.

That’s it for the SAG awards this year. Now, onto the Oscars!
