The stars were out to shine on the red carpet at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards held in LA on Sunday night. Couturing beauty writer Ghadeer chooses the Top 5 Beauty looks from the night.
Looking flawless and goddess-like, Amber Rose kept it cool and casual with her squared-off black winged eyeliner and pink and gold eye shadow. The shimmery bronzer added a luminous affect while a white eyeliner application to the bottom-eyelid brightened her eyes. Finishing the look with a rose lip-gloss, the model brought a new meaning to the word ‘shimmery’.
Bonjour Paris! Check out those cheekbones! The Socialite walked the red carpet with beaming eyelashes to accentuate her big blue eyes. A thick coat of mascara to top and bottom lashes was the stand out and light brown eye shadow blended in the corners complimented the look. Bronzed cheeks and a nude pink lip completed the look with a dramatic up-do. Easily one of our favourite looks from the awards!
Rocking the most dramatic eye makeup of the night, Taylor Swift keeps it heavy with silver and blue eye shadow and winged out navy eyeliner. Leaving her signature red lips behind, Swift opted for a more playful pink to finish her look. Her makeup artist Lorrie Turk spoke about recreating this look. She first applied MAC Paintpot in Clearwater all over the star’s eyelids followed by Kevyn Aucoin shadow in Cool Smoke. Changing it up with Trish McEvoy gel eyeliner in Arabian Nights, Turk completed the dramatic look with a few coats of Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill mascara. Who knew a loose ponytail could look that good on the red carpet? We’re taking notes!
Queen Bey looked ever so magical on the red carpe. With a mixture of smoky eye shadow and a good eyebrow pencil, Beyonce showed that two simple things can go a long way! Her makeup look, created by Francesca Tolot was finished with Scarlet bold lips and soft blush on the cheeks. We can’t stop talking about the blonde bobbed beach waved hair either. Beyonce’s hairstylist Kim Kimble used Pantene Pro-V Curly No Crunch Curls Whip to the star’s wet-hair. While it effortlessly bounced through the night with every stride, a spritz of Pantene Advanced+ Keratin Repair KeraGloss Oil Most kept the shine all night long.
Anna kept her look minimal featuring a mixture of metallic eye shadows and a thin application of eyeliner, but still standing out with her ladylike look. The beauty look was created using Maybelline New York’s Eye Studio Tattoo Metal in Barely Branded and Brad to the Bronze. Adding a touch of gloss redefined her look with a coat of Maybelline New York Colo Elixir Lip Colour in Rose Redefined. Nothing short of flawless!
