Nestled off Flinders lane is the quaint shop front of Lady Petrova, the only stockist of Thai label Sretsis and the flower headband mecca.

Thursday the 18th of April saw Lady Petrova host the launch of Sretsis A/W 2013, a collection of kooky and cute embellishments, chiffon and colour wrapped in a sweet package – almost as enticing as the horseshoe gingerbreads on offer.

Whilst it wasn’t an extensive collection, the dresses, t-shirt dresses and blouses kept fans and new comers happy. Drenched in femininity and softness, Sretsis pushes the boundaries of texture and tailoring for a collection that looks like it’s from the pages of a childhood fairytale.

The SRS motif was a serious standout, placed subtly amidst love heart prints. The arrow cross out completed the look on chiffon and cotton dresses. Love hearts were perfect additions to the collection, either as all over prints or embellishments and even subtle elements of other motifs.

Horses and hearts appeared to be the standout theme in the collection, titled “I Heart U All Over Again,” with ponies printed and wrought into dresses and blouses. A nude coloured symmetrical dress featured galloping horses on either side of the chest, a playful and attention commanding number. Patches were in abundance, with kooky bright love hearts sewn on instead of printed.

The collection was also bolstered by equine themed jewelry, complete with horseshoe earrings and lucky charm trinkets.

Catering to the occasion, Lady Petrova offered up Horseshoe shaped gingerbreads – finished off to look just like the clothes.

Pop into Lady Petrova at 237 Flinders Lane (off Scott Alley,) to sample the treats on offer from Sretsis, for A/W 2013.
