MSFW NIKE RUNWAY AT THE HUB

Nike’s ultra cool street styled inspired runway was filled with bold colours and daring styling. The street theme was emphasised by the beats of Banoffee and smooth street clad music of Melbourne based up and comer hip-hop artist Remi, who opened and closed the show. Nike paired up with iconic Australian designers including Thurley, Michael Lo Sordo and Carly Hunter to showcase their designs with a twist. The show has affirmed that the Sports Luxe trend that has ruled the runways for the past few seasons is still as relevant as it has ever been. Bomber jackets, skirts and tops made of mesh were the key pieces of the day. Each model showcased memorable designs and clever styling made sure that the sneaker were always the feature. Long gone are the days where Nike was just seen running around the tan. They have seamlessly floated into the everyday world of fashion. For any look, Nike is a wardrobe staple, and it’s here to stay. The standouts were: NIKE X THURLEY  hub_runway_nike15 The sports luxe trend was updated this season with a lady like effervescence. This seasons key trend of white on white and a midi-fluted mesh skirt helped showcase the versatility how this trend can by styled. NIKE X MATCHO SUBA Metallic statements and futuristic cuts were paired with Nike street wear to complete these looks. The showcase highlighted an edgy side to the sports luxe trend with mesh overlays and bright orange accents. Matcho Suba brought a punk like rebellion to Nike. NIKE X CARLY HUNTER Carly Hunter brought what every on-trend cool hunter is looking to wear this season to the catwalk. Bright blocks of colour helped emphasised against key wardrobe staples of the season in black. Crop tops and dressed up sweats were paired with bright pink and purple sneakers and caps. Black asymmetric satin skirts were paired with bright branded tees. Carly Hunter really showcased the what sports luxe has grown to this season. NIKE X MICHAEL LO SORDO hub_runway_nike49 Michael Lo Sordo brought deconstructed tailoring to the trend for his collaboration. Pastel duster coats in powder blue and baby pink showcased the trends softer side while still keeping its cool factor.
