Titled ‘Delicatessen’, Kym Ellery’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection was one of the most hyped shows on the MBFWA 2012 calendar and the collection certainly lived up to expectations.

Surprisingly the collection, which was based around the idea of long lost regret, was inspired by a teddy bear she gave away at the age of 18.

The key Ellery signatures were all present, peplums, big shoulders and lots of metallic. This season she also experimented with draping, with Grecian inspired cocktail dresses.

The colour palette was centered, nudes, silvers and dark greens. Cute metallic headpieces with little bear ears added a quirky touch to the outfits and curved metal detailing was attached to each shoe. Leather anklets and chokers were fitted with metal closures turning them into real statement pieces.

Ellery lovers will not be disappointed by this collection.  Not only does it have a lot of great day-to-day and statement pieces, it also adds an extra element to Ellery’s signature aesthetic.
