As one of Australia’s favourite beauty bloggers and makeup artists, Heidi Hamoud has become just as well known for her flawless skin as her easy to follow makeup tutorials. Ahead of the new season, Heidi has teamed up with Eastland to host a live make up seminar to highlight her tips and tricks for summer events, and how to achieve the ultra-natural day look. Ahead of her seminar, we caught up with the lovely Heidi to get the low down on her must have products and her thoughts on the upcoming trends for Spring/Summer.

What are your key makeup trends for Spring/Summer?
My keys trends include, dewy skin, bold lips and burnt orange eyes.

What’s one thing you must have in your makeup bag?
Moisturiser, for sure!

What’s your most surprising makeup bag?
Not very surprising, but I always carry eyebrow scissors with me! My eyebrows grow pretty fast and are always in need of a trim.

What’s the one beauty mistake everyone should avoid?
Definitely applying less product, especially on the base. Less is always more, and looks so much more natural and appealing.

What are your top 3 beauty buys for this season?

  • The Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette; this has the perfect shades to create a bronze/burnt orange eye.
  • Hourglass Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick Refill; such an amazing range of bold and neutral colours to suit everyone.
  • Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser; An oldie, but a goodie. My favourite base product to use in summer, gives you the perfect, flawless, glowing, complexion.
