When Dyson announced it was moving into Haircare, people were perpelexed. Dyson was synonymous with vacuums and cleaning tools so would these hair care products suck your hair like a vacuum cleaner?

Well if you know the Dyson story and their mantra of “We solve the problems others ignore” it made sense for them to invest in the research and development of something that would revolutionise the Haircare styling market.

Fast forward a few years and the name Dyson is one of the names now prescient in the Haircare styling market. With their revolutionary Airwrap and hairdryer they are becoming the go-to choice for hair stylists around the globe.

Melbourne recently hosted a Dyson styling event featuring some of Australia’s top hair stylists showcasing how they maximise the use of their Dyson hair styling stools and how they can be used in both high end editorial styling as well as everyday use.

Dyson styling ambassadors, Damien Rinaldo, Frank Apostolopoulos, Peter Thomsen, Jayne Wild, Reyna Xydis and Joey Scandizzo showcased some amazing styles using both the Dyson Professional dryer and the Airwrap and shared their tips at www.nubobeauty.com.

The Dyson Professional dryer is becoming a mainstay in salons across Australia and all of the Dyson styling ambassadors expressed their love of the dryer because of how little the dryer weighed and therefore how easy it was to use because it is so lightweight. They espoused the benefits of the constant temperature (monitored to never go above 100 degrees) and Reyna Xydis expressed her excitement that the dryer helped to keep hair healthy because unlike other dryers on the market, it couldn’t accidentally burn hair during the drying process from overheating because of the constant temperature monitoring the Dyson dryer does whilst in use. Jayne Wild loved the effectiveness of the consistent airflow in the dryer which helped to cut down the time required to do a blow dry. All of the stylists were rapped with how the Dyson hair dryer helped to leave hair shinier and healthier, their clients loving their hair even more after walking out of the salon.

The Dyson Airwrap, whilst a recent addition to the Dyson Haircare range, has proved to be a hit not only with consumers but on the professional hair care scene with each of the Dyson styling ambassadors showcasing the ease of using the Airwrap to create everyday styles with minimum effort.

In using the Airwrap, Joey Scandizzo loved that it produced curls softer than with a traditional curler and the four barrel attachments could create a variety of curls to suit the mood.  His top tip was to hold the curl at the ends for a moment before letting the hair drop to help keep the shape of the curl for longer. Jayne Wild also shared that to maximise the effectiveness of the Airwrap and to maintain the curl, hair should be 80% dried.

It’s not hard to see why the Dyson Haircare range is becoming so popular with those looking for an easy to use and no fuss styling tool to maintain their tresses.
