Lancôme Paris Ambassador and Hollywood actor, Lupita Nyong’o, channeled her inner glam with this shimmery silver eye makeup and romantic aubergine lip. Lancôme Paris Makeup Artist Nick Barose created this look using some of the brands biggest products this season and shares the tips and tricks for you to recreate. For the best result in red carpet ready skin, prep your face with Lancôme Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate and La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer. This will allow the makeup to set well and last for hours without creasing. Barose gently applied the new Lancôme Miracle Cushion Liquid Compact in #500 for an even base and added a hint of Blush Subtil in Shimmer Petite Pomegranate for those rosy red cheeks.

For the eyes, Barose chose to mix Lancôme Color Design 5-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Gris Fumee with Aquatique Waterproof Eyecolor Base in#5 Sienne for a shimmery sparkle, brushing the colour from the inner corner out to the crease then smearing under the bottom lash line for an extra dramatic look. He followed this by lining the eyes with Lancôme Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir before completing the look with Grandiôse Mascara.

Have fun with a pop of colour on the lip and make it your own style. As for Lupita, she opted for a splash of Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipcolor in Aubergine Velvet and Sheer Chocolate for a glossy effect.

Celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern created a “radiant, sexy and effortless” look for ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ nominee, Reese Witherspoon, at the Academy Awards. Always a radiant beauty on the red carpet, Reese was prepped with the help of Laura Mercier makeup. For a healthy sheen face, Stern applied Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturising Photo Edition Foundation in Suntan to ensure the actress’ complexion was “natural and fresh looking”. Instead of a bronzer, Stern contoured her face using foundation in a shade darker for a “warmed up sun smooched feeling”.

What is so effortless about the look is the neutral matte eyes, which were created without the use of a heavy liner – something Couturing predicts as next seasons’ biggest beauty trend. Less is definitely more with the mix of Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Noir, Truffle and Coffee Ground, which intensified Witherspoon’s blue eyes before coating two brushes of Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara in Black. To give the lashes a softer intensity, Stern painted highlights into the lashes using brown mascara – genius!

CHLOE GRACE MORETZ

87th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

This blonde bombshell stepped out onto the red carpet with the most beautiful eye colour arrangement we have seen. Sticking to what she knows best, celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh created the fresh and youthful makeup inspired by the colours of Moretz’s dress and handbag. Quynh first prepped the skin using Laura Mercier Foundation Primer and applying Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturising Photo Edition Foundation in Cream Ivory first before dotting High Coverage Concealer in 1.5 under the eyes. For the bright cheeks, a brush of Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper was applied for a more intense pop.

Her eyes popped with an application of Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Peach, then Matte Eye Colour in Truffle from the lash line to the crease, using a fluffy blending brush for a sheer wash of colour. Next, she blended Sateen Eye Colour in Kir Royal to the outer crease of her eyes, and smudged both eye shadow colours to the top and bottom lash lines before gracing the red carpet with her bright smile completed with Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Petal Pink.

We love the big bold brows and understated wavy locks that allowed her eyes take centre stage while she presented an award.

EMMA STONE

It comes as no surprise that this leading lady tops our charts of best makeup look from the 2015 Oscars. Always a radiant beauty on the red carpet, Emma Stone wowed in the most beautiful peachy-coral lip tone we have seen this award season. Stone’s makeup artist Rachel Goodwin spilled the details on what she used to create the super easy look. Stepping away from the classic black liner, Goodwin wanted to create a softer eye using Chanel Écriture de Eyeliner Pen in Brun. For cheeks, she landed on Chanel Powder Blush in Angelique for the perfect pink cheeks that allowed the actress’ freckles to peak through.

Playing with the lip colour, Goodwin chose to define the lips with Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Rouge Candy and finished with a peachy-coral lip colour from Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Tulip.
