As much as we fight it, we all love to live vicariously through the rich and famous, and especially when it comes to weddings. While we’ve pawed over every last detail of our favourite weddings of 2013, isn’t it time for some new bridal inspo? Lucky for us, there’s a huge crop of fashionable brides to be, and in turn, new weddings to vicariously live through. So who made the list of our most anticipated “I Do’s’? They’re all here in their stylish glory.
TWO OF A KIND
In 2014, there’ll be double the celebration in the Olsen family, with both Elizabeth and Mary-Kate set to marry their respective partners. Elizabeth is set to marry her model/actor, fiancé Boyd Holbrook after recently becoming engaged. The couple have been dating since 2012 after meeting on the set of Very Good Girls. Our prediction for the wedding? Hipster meets haute couture in their adopted home of New York.
While her younger sister may marry in a very New York celebration, Mary-Kate and her fiancé Oliver Sarkozy may make their wedding a Parisian affair. Sarkozy, the half-brother of the former French President, and Olsen have been dating for two years, and split their time between France and New York. We’re predicting boho-chic nuptials in the French capital.
THE MODEL AND THE MUSICIAN
Fashion and music often collide, and two of the most celebrated players in their respective industries are soon to be walking down the aisle. Victoria’s Secret angel, Behati Prinsloo and Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine are set to be married after becoming engaged late last year in what is set to be a truly rock & roll affair. So what will the wedding be like? We’re predicting a relaxed ceremony attended by some of the biggest faces in music and fashion.
Former reality star, current blogger, and always style icon, Olivia Palermo is set to marry her long-time partner, model Johannes Huebl in spectacular fashion. The couple, together since 2008, are due to make their walk down the aisle this year in a predicted traditional, Hamptons-set ceremony. With designers Victoria Beckham and Valentino amongst her friends, Palermo has no shortage of contacts to design her dress, and we can’t wait to see what the fashionable pair choose for their big day.
THE POWER COUPLE
Vogue called them the World’s most talked about couple on the cover of their controversial issue, but whether you love them or hate them, there is no doubt that we will all be watching when the couple known as ‘Kimye’ ties the knot. Rumoured to be getting married in a ceremony in Paris, there will be no shortage of star power in attendance, with music mogul Jay Z said to be in the bridal party. It remains to be seen whether the wedding will be televised on the Kardashian’s reality TV show, but our bets are that the bride will be dressed in custom Givenchy designed by fiance’s West’s BFF Ricardo Tisci.
HOLLYWOOD’S GOLDEN COUPLE
After years of engagement and more than half a dozen children, could 2014 be the year that the king and queen of Hollywood finally make it official? The activists/actors vowed they wouldn’t marry until marriage equality become legal in the US, and now that it has been, all eyes are on when the Jolie-Pitts will walk down the aisle. We predict an intimate ceremony in their French home with heavy involvement from their children.
THE BOMBSHELL AND THE BOHEMIAN
After starring together in 2011’s The Rum Diary, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp took the step of making their professional relationship a romantic one. Becoming engaged earlier this year, it’s hotly rumoured that Ms Heard will become Mrs Depp by the end of the year. Both being free spirits, we predict an exotic destination wedding with close friends and family.
THE TEENAGE DREAM
In one of Hollywood’s most adorable pairings, ex-co stars and current partners Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have become engaged nearly a decade after playing an on-screen couple on That 70s Show. Both have had high profile relationships in the past, she with Macaulay Culkin and he famously with Demi Moore, so when they walk down the aisle, we predict they’ll adopt a casual air and have a simple garden wedding away from the public eye.
THE JOURNALIST AND THE HEADLINE GRABBER
Scarlett Johansson shocked the world earlier this year announcing she was both engaged and expecting her first child with partner, journalist Romain Dauriac. Meeting through mutual friend, tattoo artist Fuzi, the couple have had a whirlwind romance, dating just under a year before making plans to walk down the aisle. As for the wedding, it’s yet to be seen if Scarlett will have her bump as part of the ceremony, or will wait until after the birth to say ‘I do’, but given the couple’s love of privacy, we’re expecting an under the radar ceremony in Romain’s home country of France.
THE GIRL AND HER BOY
She may star as unlucky in love Marnie on Girls, but in real life Allison Williams is set to marry her long time partner, College Humor co-founder and businessman, Ricky Van Veen later this year. Dating since 2011, the couple have maintained a relatively low-key profile despite their rocketting careers, and most likely will carry that over into their wedding. We’re predicting a Hamptons wedding, with a traditional ceremony attended by friends and family.
THE GOLDEN GIRL AND HER BAD BOY
Despite losing her ex to notorious man eater Angelina Jolie, it appears Jennifer Aniston has found her Prince Charming in the form of fellow actor Justin Theroux. After a two year engagement, it is rumoured that Aniston and Theroux will tie the knot in Hawaii with just 20 of their nearest and dearest. Aniston, known for her classic style, chose an off-the-rack gown for her wedding to Pitt, so it’s likely she’ll pick something simple for her nuptials to Theroux.
